Automotive Cells Company (ACC) is a joint venture created in the summer of 2020, supported by Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, and Saft (a subsidiary of TotalEnergies). Our ambition is to produce electric batteries at the highest technological level while developing cleaner and more accessible mobility for all.

We are proud to manufacture, in our Billy-Berclau Gigafactory, the batteries that already power several electric vehicles available on the market (PEUGEOT E-3008 and E-5008, Opel Grandland, DS N°8, Citroën C5 AirCross, and Jeep Compass).

Since 2023, Block 1 of our Billy-Berclau / Douvrin Gigafactory has entered production. This first block marks a decisive milestone in the site's history: after the launch of the first production lines, we are now engaged in a ramp-up phase-an essential step toward reaching full industrial capacity.

This period is marked by major technical and human challenges: ensuring process reliability, optimizing performance, strengthening skills, and embedding a culture of operational excellence.

Job description

The Specialist engineer has a solid experience and skills in paint coating and glue application processes, ideally in the field of the battery manufacturing.

- To assist Equipment Suppliers during the ramp up of manufacturing plants.
- Define all measurement on products needed to characterize if process is answering product requirements.
- Analyze the results and if needed, to propose improvements to reach specifications or to be more stable.
- To propose a standardization of the parameters processes, to be more robust in serial production
- To be aware of all new processes in LiB market

L'ingénieur spécialiste possède une solide expérience et des compétences dans les procédés d'application de peinture et de colle, idéalement dans le domaine de la fabrication de batteries.

- Assister les fournisseurs d'équipements pendant la phase de montée en puissance des usines de fabrication.
- Définir toutes les mesures nécessaires sur les produits afin de déterminer si le processus répond aux exigences du produit.
- Analyser les résultats et, si nécessaire, proposer des améliorations pour atteindre les spécifications ou obtenir une plus grande stabilité.
- Proposer une standardisation des paramètres des processus afin d'assurer une plus grande robustesse dans la production en série.
- Se tenir informé de tous les nouveaux processus sur le marché des batteries lithium-ion.
